Empower Your Narrative

I have been meeting a lot of people and networking a ton in this 'In-Between' phase. As I was reflecting on some of my recent interactions, I realized that unwittingly I expressed self-doubt with phrases like "I'm not good" at certain things.

So today, I invite you all to reflect on the messages you convey to the world and the inner dialogues you hold.

Have you ever caught yourself uttering any of the following phrases?
I am not a sales person (I am guilty of this one).
I'm not naturally outgoing.
I am bad at chasing people down for a follow up.

Chances are, you have. We all have.
It's important to recognize that these statements place limitations on your potential, limitations that you are imposing on yourselves. Whenever you employ such phrases, or similar ones, you are relinquishing power. You are narrating a story about yourself that becomes ingrained. You are framing your identity from a negative perspective, and these eventually become self-fulfilling predictions.

When you find yourself entangled in negative self-definitions, remember that you possess the authority to mold your narrative. How you choose to portray yourself influences how others perceive you.
Will you depict yourself through constraints and shortcomings? Or...
Will you depict yourself through aspirations and possibilities?
Choose Positivity!

The next time you catch yourself uttering "I struggle with X" or "I'm not skilled in Y," reverse the narrative. Transform it into a positive declaration:

I derive joy from sharing my work with others.
I enjoy engaging with fascinating individuals.
I actively pursue opportunities that hold significance for me.

Your potential is only as vast as you permit it to be.
